1. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.joc.8b00447 this article is a good chemistry article that I can use as an academic source. This is clearly an academic sources as it is new knowledge in the field of organic chemistry, published on the american chemical society website, and is written by various researchers. The technical terminology can be a bit dense at times, but it is a good example of how professionals communicate results to their peers.
2. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0168365909008359 this is another article that I will likely analyze for my paper. This article is infact written by one of my professors. I plan on interviewing this professor for this paper. I would like to use some of his more recent writing if at all possible, and I will ask him what he has available during our interview.
3. http://saramitchell.org/ this is the website of one of my past professors, Sara Mitchell. While these articles are very different from the first two I think that it would be interesting to bring in writing from my second major and compare and contrast the two types of writing. I have not selected a particular article of hers, and I am considering using her book.

In addition to these three sources I will ask professor Nuxoll for permission to use various non-academic writings that he has done in the past such as homework assignments, memos, class writings, and emails with students.
